Don't you just love.....

.....it when the postman delivers something through your door. I always have a small frisson of excitement, perhaps today is the day the tax man will realised I or my hubby have been massively overpaying all these years, or that I am secretly the heir to a lovely country home and solicitors have finally tracked me down. Well a girl can dream can't she? Normally I forget half the stuff that we order online until I actually open it but the parcel that came yesterday I hadn't forgotten about and was looking forward to.

A lovely Cath Kidston notebook.

Just look at that lovely cover and lovely thick paper (120gsm according to my husband who clearly spends too much time feeling paper at work) along with a really good pen where the ink flows easily. Ooooh I just had to lovingly stroke the smooth surface and couldn't wait to get stuck in writing in it.

The reason for this rather extravagent purchase (well spending just over £4 on a notebook IS extravagence to me and that's with the Amazon sale price.....I'd have never bought it for £8!) is because I have a couple of A5 spiral bound notebooks which contain various scribblings in relation to my self development. I refer these as my Universe books (after having read The Secret). As stuff was in two books (both incomplete) I wasn't referring to either of them as a refresher so I thought one book would suffice. So I heard on MSE Grabbit board these notebooks were on special and decided my new Universe book should be something I'd treasure. It's still got plenty of pages left for further scribblings on the subject of self improvement and I consider it my new bible to remind me how to choose a positive attitude and life.
