Dens were built. Campfire made and marshmallows toasted and eaten.
Medals were earned. Not won but given Pup 2 is having a crisis of confidence lately I don't really care. She wore it continually for the rest of of the week and that's fine by me ;)
The opportunity for the odd leisurely breakfast. Heaven.
Picnics under cloudy skies. But such beautiful countryside to compensate.
Watching birds of prey hover overhead. Sadly I am not a twitcher by any stretch of the imagination so couldn't identify this one.
It's an week on and the pups are back of school and into the swing of the usual routine aka strops, bickering and me playing UN Peace Negotiator. The final stretch of school term lies ahead of us. I can't believe how quick this school year is going, I had better get my skates on and plan the six weeks summer holidays or it will arrive before I know it. There will be the usual walks and picnics (it's not summer without picnics and small children running around in terror as a fly buzzes too close to their lunch) but also fancy a trip to a dairy farm where they make their own brand of ice cream :)
Can't wait to see Wiltshire in full summer glory.
